MAFC and NAB launch a mentoring program for women in finance
The Mentoring Program is an innovative leadership program for female Master of Applied Finance students. It aims to encourage the development of women who, given the right opportunities and support, will become our future leaders in finance.
The scheme pairs high performing students with female NAB executives. Mentors were selected on the basis of their life and work experiences. All mentors are senior-level female finance professionals from within NAB. Where possible, mentors were selected from business lines/departments that are relevant to the student (i.e. areas that are covered by the MAppFin Program).
On 13 August 2013, MAFC and NAB launched the Women’s Mentoring Scheme with an event at NAB House. Attended by NAB Board members and senior University staff ; mentors and mentees heard Kevin Jameson, MAFC Centre Director; Angela Mentis, Executive General Manager NAB Private Wealth and Andrew Loveridge, Head of Government, Education & Community Business Institutional Banking National Australia Bank, give their support to the Program.
